Who is the protagonist of Mafia 3

The main protagonist in Mafia 3 is an African American that just came back from the Vietnam War. His name is Lincoln Clay. Originally, Lincoln wasn’t going to stay in New Bordeaux for too long. However, he discovered that his foster family was in a lot of trouble from dealing with the mafia.

Lincoln tries to reason with Marcano, the leader of the most powerful crime family in the city, but he ends up killing his whole family and shooting Lincoln himself in the head. The protagonist survives the ordeal and only wants revenge from that point on. This is where the game begins…
