How to use the winch in Spintires

There’s a lot of off-road driving in Spintires, which may often resolve in getting stuck in the middle of nowhere. You can avoid that if you pick a better route, however it’s always useful to know how to tow your car away from the mud by using the winch.

There are 2 ways to do it:

1. Get a car that has a winch. Press V when near the stuck vehicle and connect it to the winch. The points to which you can connect the winch will be highlighted, so it won’t be problematic. Once connected, use your mouse or press F to pull the winch.
2. If you’re playing by yourself or you don’t have another vehicle, you can connect the winch to the nearby tree and pull yourself out of the mud.

In order to disconnect the winch, just click on the X at the end of the end mount.
